starlitheavens:

Does anyone else see a problem with the fact that only a small percentage of the world’s population lives how we do?

How we live: we go day to day unthankfully. taking the food we get, the house we live in, the health we have for granted.

How over a third of the world lives: they go day to day thankful that they are still alive, desperate food, thankful for every morsel of nutrition they recieve and for a safe place to stay at. They are grateful for everything.

How is it even possible that there millions of out here who know that this is going on but only a few thousand are working towards fixing this problem? If we aren’t going to take care of our own people. our own species. who is? The elephants in Africa aren’t going to nurse them back to health.

Why do we just keep reblogging posts about hunger and poverty. commenting on sad the situation is. and just continuing to scroll down the screen. (i’ll admit, Im guilty of the previously stated).

I really think it’s time more people do something about it. I think it’s time we start appreciating our conditions and situations because as you can see, they can’t possibly be worse than theirs.
